New Movie Trailers That You Might Have Missed During The Super Bowl

Amidst the onslaught of commercials during the 2021 Super Bowl, I found some movie trailers that got me excited. 2021 Grab the Popcorn because some new movies are coming out…

Fast 9 — Release Date: May 28th, 2021

As a long time fan of the Fast and Furious franchise, I’m always going to be pumped about a new installment. While it will never be the same after Paul Walker, I think the producers have done a great job of carrying on the franchise. It doesn't matter how cheesy they get with the family theme. I’m always going to love turning my brain off and watching some absurd gravity-defying car stunts.

Old — Release Date: July 23rd, 2021

M. Night Shyamalan is back with another movie that will make you double-check if that sweatshirt on your door at night is really a human or not. This movie just feels like Glass or Split with the same creepiness and sci-fi-like horror theme. One of the things I liked about the trailer is that they tried not to reveal too much. Looks like we’ll all be sleeping with one eye open after this one.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier — Release Date: March 19th, 2021

Another installment of Disney’s quest to spend as much money on the Marvel Universe TV Shows as possible. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad they’re willing to spend $25 million an episode to make these shows. If you’re going to make them you might as well do it right and at first glance, it looks like this is going to be another hit. They are 100% going to play off the bromance and action in order to capture the audience’s attention, which I’m all for.

Nobody — Release Date: April 2nd, 2021

Bob Odenkirk first really flexed his acting skills as Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad and this role seems to lean into his badass side. From the trailer, it almost comes across as a playoff John Wick. He’s a former badass “auditor” that retired and started a family. Suddenly his old life catches up with him because of “a certain debt that needs repayment.” Then he proceeds to kick everyone's ass like he’s trying to take Liam Nesson’s spot as the 50+ badass that dad’s dream everywhere of being. With the producers from John Wick being involved, there is certainly going to be some fight scenes that are worth a watch.

Coming 2 America — Release Date: March 5, 2021

Eddie Murphy is back baby! I use to love his humor in movies so I’m glad it’s making a comeback. This sequel to Coming to America looks like it’s going to be full of his usual humor, maybe a little more PC than the older stuff, mixed with a little bit of feel-good plot. Amazon Studios has bought the rights from Paramount so it will be available to prime customers come March 5th.
