Marvel proved their worth by sticking the landing after 3 bizarre episodes

Vulture

Alright, this one got off to an interesting start. I almost gave up after the 3rd episode because either the show was too crazy or I was going crazy. It made absolutely zero sense. Why are we being forced to wade through an exceptionally average 1950’s sitcom show for seemingly no reason? Not one scene seemed to add anything to the plot, development of characters, or simply move the show along in any one direction. Vision works at some computational company where he can’t even figure out what his job is suppose to be. All of the nieghbors are just down right creepy. That was until the end of the 3rd episode and mainly the 4th.

This is where it gets very interesting. No way to say it other than it changed the entire show. At this point, the show comes across as almost two different seasons. With the first 3 episodes being a set up for the last 3. Episode 4 gave us setting, time, characters we already knew from the Marvel Universe, and best of all…plot. So before I give any spoilers, if you haven’t seen the show I would watch it on Disney Plus or your nearest bootleg streaming site. I know I make it sound tough at first but if you get through the first 3 episodes you won’t be disappointed come to the 4th episode. It will all make sense.

** Spoilers Ahead **

Still here? Okay first off, big fan of how they jump to Monica Rambeau waking up in the hospital after the “blip”. It gives us setting within the Marvel Universe movies, so we know that this is happening after Tony Stark reverses the blip. We never saw what happened to the daugther of Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel so it’s very interesting that she is one of our main characters. For one, I’ve always wondered what happened when people started coming back from the “blip”. We’ve gotten to see some of it in the Spider-Man: Far From Home but this gives a glimpse of the chaos that would ensue as people just randomly started reappearing. I’m also a fan of how they explain a lot of the events from the first 3 episodes. Like the random colored helicopter that Wanda finds, who the creepy bee keeper from the sewer is, and how the “friend” of Wanda shows up to help deliver her baby.

As I said before, the main aspect of the 4th episode that I really love was the plot development. I fully expected there to be some Dr. Evil mastermind looking for world domination or cash money behind it all. But the truth was much more interesting and original .After guessing for 3 straight episodes about who could be behind all of this, we finally have the answer — “It’s Wanda, it’s all Wanda”. Wanda has the power to manipulate reality. So it’s stand to reason after the 4th episode that she concoted this alternate reality in order to live the life she wanted with Vision and to forget her brother is dead. This becomes especially clear when we see Darcy Lewis, from the Thor movies, say that Vision “Is dead not blipped but dead”. As the epsiode closes, we see the anger in Wanda’s eyes as Rambeu breaks her perfect reality by mentioning the name Ultron. So clearly Wanda has some sembelance of connection to actual realty. As she puts her house back together you can almost see her constructing the realty back from it’s brokeness. Finally we know! Yet still so many questions remain. Who is the guy at the end of epsiodes 1–3 watching them? Why is she doing this? How is she able to change the realty of an entire city? Why do people automatically change clothes to fit the time period? Why is everything based in the 50's,60’s and 70's? Are Wanda’s baby’s real or a fake realty? So many questions and only 2 more episodes. The next few episodes are certainly going to be very interesting…
